Publishing Guide
Prior to the submission of any proposals, all authors are required to familiarise themselves with the publication conditions of the Misostenido Journal.
1. Works written in Spanish and English will be considered for publication.
2. Misostenido Magazine publishes works on a biannual basis. These include original research projects in music therapy, case studies in various clinical contexts, bibliographic reviews, articles of a philosophical and theoretical nature, and book reviews.
3. Manuscripts that are original and unpublished, and that are not currently under evaluation by other publications, may be submitted for approval by the journal's editorial board. As part of the submission process, researchers are required to complete the Declaration and Assurance of Authorship.
It is prohibited to submit plagiarized texts or texts created with the use of artificial intelligence.
4. The maximum number of authors in an article is four.
5. The opinions expressed by the authors of the articles are their exclusive responsibility, as is the spelling, typing, and syntax correction of the articles.
6. It is required that the document format be compatible with Microsoft Word, in any of its versions. It is imperative that the document format be compatible with Microsoft Word, irrespective of the version in use. The magazine's editorial team will present the published articles in Portable Document Format (PDF), a format developed by Adobe.
7. The manager will require the identification data of the article authority at the time of registering the shipment. To ensure the integrity of the review process, the document must not contain any indications of authorship, either within the main body of the text or in the file information. To remove the authorship information, one must first right-click on the document name and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. Then, click on the "Details" section and delete the authorship information.
8. Following receipt, the works will be forwarded to the Editorial Committee for verification of compliance with the established evaluation criteria. Subsequent to the successful completion of the initial review, the manuscript is forwarded to external evaluators for the inaugural double-blind peer review.
9. The maximum length of the works is 6,000 words, inclusive of bibliographic references and any attached annexes. Furthermore, the document must adhere to the established style guidelines for written communication.
10. The fundamental formatting standard is that of the DIN-A4 page, with a single space between each line of text, and in accordance with the provided template. The font shall be Gill Sans, in a size of 11 points. The numbering of headings, tables, graphs, and figures will adhere to the model set forth in the Author Template for Writing Articles, which is based on the Manual of the American Psychological Association 7th Edition (APA) (https://normas-apa.org/).
11. The title of the article, the summary, and the keywords must be presented in both Spanish and English.
12. It is required that articles include a summary or abstract of between 150 and 200 words. The keywords should comprise five scientific terms representative of the article's content. If possible, these should be drawn from the ERIC Thesaurus (Education Resources Information Center). To facilitate database searching, the terms will be separated by semicolons, with the first letter of each keyword written in lowercase.
13. It is recommended that research articles adhere to the following structure: title, summary, keywords, introduction, theoretical framework of the research, purpose, objectives, hypotheses, research methodology, results, conclusions, and sources consulted. All bibliographic references must adhere to the standards set forth in the American Psychological Association (APA) Manual, 7th edition.
14. Financing: It is essential to include the financial data pertaining to the publication, study, or article in question. In the event that funding is unavailable, the following text must be included: This article was not funded specifically for its development and/or publication.
15. Acknowledgments: Acknowledgments may be included at the academic or scientific institutional level from collaborating entities or organizations.
16. Conflict of interest: A text will be included that refers to the non-existence of a conflict of interest.
17. Publication in Misostenido Journal does not entail the payment of any fee. It is a free publication.
