Abstract

This study proposes the application of music therapy sessions in an educational context to a 16-year-old patient diagnosed with
ADHD in comorbidity with microcephaly. The user is severely affected by executive functions and has serious learning difficulties from a very early age. For this reason, we have worked on various objectives focused on her main needs, such as motor braking,
increasing self-esteem and reading and writing skills. The results obtained after the twelve sessions on which the therapeutic
treatment was based, have shown sufficient indicators to affirm that there has been an improvement in motor control and braking, an increase in emotional expression and a significant improvement in reading and writing skills. As for the work on self-esteem and self-concept, a slight increase has been observed, and it is necessary to continue working on this objective, if possible, in subsequent sessions to achieve a more positive self-concept.
