Abstract

A music therapy intervention proposal was formulated aimed at Primary Education students who present disruptive behaviors in
the educational context. These students have a very characteristic profile and tend to generate conflicts daily in class, frequently responding negatively to any form of authority or change. There are many reasons that influence disruptive behaviors, including cultural and educational factors. Currently, in Spain a diversity of cultures coexists; this fact is reflected in the classrooms, and gives rise to the existence of different forms of intolerance, such as racial or xenophobic discrimination, which lead to a larger increase in disruptive behaviors. Schools have to provide aid in order to avoid the dreaded school failure to which every student who is different
is condemned. Music therapy and Music Education join together in this intervention proposal to get a change at a social level that
provides stability and improves the wellness of the educational community.
